Building Z51 Military Hospital

Building Z51, this building, with building Z53 opposite it, formed a kriegslazarett or military hospital. During the war and after, until the defense sold the site to the municipality of Enschede in 2007, it was used as a hospital. Here, medical interventions were performed and the patients recovered. It was rebuilt and expanded in the 1960s. In the 1980s another adjustment took place, after which physiotherapy could also be offered.

It currently houses a bed & breakfast with the appropriate name "Hospitality".

Despite the renovations and the modified function, much of the original building has been preserved.
