Mass Grave Zelenograd

This is the mass grave of Red army soldiers, who died during the battle of Moscow in 1941. The memorial was created in 1956 and until 2011, it was believed that 38 people were buried here (whose names are stamped on the memorial plaque). However, the revealing of Ministry of defense archives increased this figure to 511. The mass grave is situated beside the railway station of Zelenograd.
