Monument in memory of 6 civilians: Ernest Brunard, son of the owner of the farm du Croissant, Georges Glorieux, mayor of Maransart, his son Georges, two farm workers, Edgard Constant and Victor Serve, and François Dorval a resistance fighter from Brussels who was hidden on the farm.
They were taken hostage at the farm du Croissant by retreating German troops and executed at this spot on 4 September 1944, the day before the arrival of American troops in Maransart.
