Commemorative Plate First World War Ernonheid

Commemorative plate on the facade of the of the municipal school in Ernonheid to remember a military victim of the First World War. It concerns NICOLAY Alphonse, fallen at Oostkerke on 17 November 1917.
The plaque also commemorates the events of the night of 17-18 August 1914 when German troops set fire to 14 houses in Ernonheid.
