Belgian Graves Veterans Gent Wester Cemetery

The Wester cemetery contains hundreds of graves of veterans.
The City of Ghent does not have a specific war cemetery, the victims of the World Wars are buried in the 18 Ghent cemeteries.
This applies to civilian victims, war invalids, veterans and soldiers who died. In total, the Ghent cemeteries have about 5,000 war graves.

The City of Ghent maintains the large courts of honor with Belgian victims and veterans with uniform tombs. These military and war graves are important witnesses to our past and give the cemeteries a special view.
