At the edge of the forest, near the Henry Detrie memorial, are a number of simple black crosses with German and French flags.
The numbers refer to numbers that fell there, especially on August 22, 1914.
The crosses remind us of the 37 fallen who were initially buried there.
In 1917 their bodies were excavated and transferred to other places in Ochamps i.e. the cemetery in the Bois du Différend and the chapel of Ochamps.
