Around 1931 a war memorial was erected at the back of the St. Rochus Chapel on Sankt Rochusplatz. On the back wall of the chapel a pillar has been added on which is a sculpture of white stone, it shows a male figure with a dog on the left and a walking stick on the right; it was said to be St. Roch, the chapel's namesake. On the base plate is the year 1914 - 1918, underneath a stone with a coat of arms with a cross on top and left and right the words "BURG" and RATH "On the bottom plate the years 1939 - 1945. Left and right of the pillar two narrow stone slabs bearing the names of the fallen soldiers from the First World War, an iron cross above in the facade of the chapel.In 1951 the monument was expanded with two more stone slabs bearing the names of the fallen soldiers from the Second World War.
