At the back of a niche in St. Laurentius Church is a memorial to the First World War.
Under a wooden cross, on a marbled pedestal, stands a beautiful plaster Pieta, Mary with the dead body of her Son on her lap.
On the pedestal the text: "Our consolation Mary, remember our dead".
Below that "Remember our dead - 1914 - 1918", with the names in 2 columns (left 12 and right 11 victims) and bottom right: "Pray for them R.I.P.".
