Visitor Center Valkenburg Airport

At the former Valkenburg Naval Airfield, the former communication bunker has been set up as an exhibition space. The permanent exhibition covers the history of the airport, from the 1930s to its closure in 2006. The collection contains numerous photos, models and small objects, as well as the airplane stairs through which many heads of state descended and a complete aircraft engine. There are also objects that have recently been excavated during work, such as parts of German and Dutch aircraft. The visitor center is located along the 14 km long bicycle route "Remembrance Route Valkenburg Airport 1939-2006". Cycle the route and learn about the fighting in May 1940, the food drops in 1945, the Atlantic Wall and the former airfield. The brochure of the cycle route is available free of charge at the visitor center, but can also be downloaded from our website.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
