War Memorial St.Pieters-Woluwe

Monument at the Stockel cemetery for the fallen of the 2 World Wars.
It originally stood on the Tervurenlaan in 1923 but was moved to the cemetery in 1963 due to works.

At the top is an image of a young man who is about to draw his sword.
An old woman, "the mother of the country", stands sadly behind him. She holds him in her arms and wraps him in her hooded cloak. The angel figure gives him the kiss of death.

On the 5-sided plinth is at the front:
"Morts pour la patrie
Died for the fatherland
1914-1918 "

Woluwe-Saint-Pierre
To her defenders "

On the other 4 sides of the plinth are a total of 36 names.

In front of the monument a stone open book was placed on the ground with 33 names of the fallen from 1940 - 1945.
