Pedestrian Bailey Bridge Nunhem

This bridge, probably built in 1945, was built by an engineer unit of the 15th Scottish Infantry Division. British military documents show that various bailey bridges were laid in the Leudal in December 1944 and January 1945. Initially mainly so-called class 40 and class 9 bridges intended for vehicles. But later also small bridges that were important for the supply of ammunition and supplies to the British outposts along the Maas.

This unique bridge is one of the few remaining visible structures in the Leudal that recall the Second World War (1940-1945).
