Hendrik Vriezen Bench

This bench commemorates the liberation of Corle and Hendrik Vriezen, who fell on May 14, 1940.

This bench was originally designed by W.J. Cross bricked in return for the people who helped him go into hiding during the war. Together with his wife and eldest son, they came to Corle on foot from Rotterdam and stayed with the Blekkink family, among others.
