On the square in the center of the village called "Auf der Kier" is a monument from 1923. The rectangular monument block of shell limestone stands on a three-part substructure of the Iron Cross. A dedication on the front that was covered after 1945 by a stone slab with a dedication. Under the stone slab a relief of a steel helmet and oak leaves. On the bottom plinth a laurel wreath carved out of the stone. An assignment on the back of the monument. On the narrow sides to the right and left the names of those who died in both world wars. The monument was inaugurated on September 2, 1923. In exchange for a donation, the participants of the celebration could sign a certificate built into the foundation stone of the monument. Donations totaling 36 million marks were collected.
