The war memorial at the churchyard in Linsmeau commemorates the military and civilian victims of the First World War.
In particular the executed citizens of Linsmeau. On August 10, 1914, a fight ensues between German troops and retreating Belgian soldiers. A German officer is killed. Severe reprisals follow: 19 residents are shot and a dozen houses are set on fire.
The memorial contains the names of the victims.
