The municipal cemetery contains the grave of a political prisoner of the Second World War.

on 3.4.1945 at the age of 49 "
He was born in Arville in 1896.
He was married, had 4 children and worked as a farmer in Smuid.
He died for Belgium in the camp in Essen.
A memorial plaque in his honor hangs on the war memorial.
