War Memorial Meerdonk

At the St. Corneliuskerk is the war memorial in Euvillesteen.
It was inaugurated shortly after the First World War. One hundred years later it was completely restored.
On the sides are the names of the victims with place and date of death.

An important event during the First World War in Meerdonk was the murder of the German police officer Kipnase in 1918. The perpetrator was unknown and some residents of Meerdonk and St.Gillis-Waas were then imprisoned.
