War Memorial Helschen

In Helschen, municipality of Emsburen, on the main road in the middle of the small village, there is a beautifully maintained monument, consisting of a brick plinth with a cross with an image of the crucified Jesus on it. A plaque is attached to the pedestal on the front and sides, on the front with the following inscription;

It's a difficult journey
if you don't know the way
Imprint this image in your heart and soul,
then every step you take will bring you something

In memory of the fallen and missing during the war years
1914-1918
1939-1945

Each side has a plaque with the names of the fallen from both World Wars.
