This Soviet cemetery from WWII contains the burials of 1954 members of the 16th and 36th Guards Rifle corps, including 199 unidentified soldiers. The names of the remaining 1755 fallen are on dozens of tableaux, the majority fell in 1944. There are also some individually marked graves near the central statue of the kneeling soldier. A number of soldiers who died in 1968 are also buried there.
During a renovation in 2006, several old tableaux were replaced by the new red granite standard style. However, older copies are also available.
