Memorial Archers' Association "Oster"

In the hamlet "Oster" in the municipality of Ochtrup is a beautifully landscaped and very well-maintained monument on behalf of the archers' association (Schützenverein) "Oster".
the monument consists of a large boulder flanked by 2 stones with a kind of roof.

the inscriptions read;

On the boulder;
World War 1: 1914-1918
The fallen of the Archers' Association Oster
They have done their duty, do not forget yours.

panels;
2nd World War:
1939-1945
Your homeland will not forget your sacrifices.

Addition under the names of missing persons of the second world war:
Eight members of the Heinrich Niesing family lost their lives together in an attack by enemy aircraft.
