Former Monastery of the Ursulines of Quimperlé

The former Ursuline Convent of Quimperlé, was a convent from 1665 to 1905, and has been the College Jules Ferry since 1946.

The former monastery served as a barracks for German troops during World War II, as well as for the Todt organization and the Gestapo under occupation. Prisoners, who were mainly resistance fighters, were captured and tortured in the cellars. During the liberation, collaborators were in turn locked up in the basements of buildings.
