The inscription;
Diana Budisavljević, born Obexer
1891-1988
During World War II Diana Budisavljević from Innsbruck, with the support of other helpers, rescued several thousand mainly Serb children from the concentration camps of the fascist Ustasa regime in what was then the "Independent State of Croatia".
It was only years after her death that her humanitarian efforts became known here in her hometown. The city of Innsbruck commemorates this brave woman with this plaque on her parents' house.

Who was Diana;
Diana Budisavljević, Maidenname Obexer, (born January 15, 1891 in Innsbruck, Austria-Hungary, † August 20, 1978 in Innsbruck, Austria) was an Austrian humanist and activist. During World War II, from 1941 to 1945, together with a number of employees, including graduate engineer Marko Vidaković and engineer Đuro Vukosavljević, she organized a private relief operation under the name "Action Diana Budisavljević". The action ensured the supply of relief supplies and the release and housing of liberated children and women, mainly of Serb origin, from the extermination camps of the Ustaša regime. Using transport lists and other sources, she and her associates kept a file containing information about some 12,000 children at the end of the war.
