War Memorial Sellrain

In Sellrain in the local churchyard right by the church, beautifully situated on an elevated site in the middle of the village, there is a monument under a roof of a kind of chapel that is placed on the outer wall of the site. under the roof on the walls a number of plaques with inscriptions and the names of the fallen from various wars from 1797.

Inscription;
As a Christian memorial to the defenders of the land who fell for God, Emperor and Fatherland from this community of Sellrain as:
a) 1797 fought the French at Spinges on 2 April
(Names)
b) 1809 was the 1st and was killed by the Bavarians on April 15 near Innsbruck
(Names)
c) 1809 fought and died near Meilögg in Unterinnthal
(Names)
d) 1809 on All Saints' Day was shot not far from the Hallwiese
(Last name)

Christian commemoration of all Sellrain soldiers who sacrificed their lives for God, Prince and Country as:
a) 1812 who took part in the great campaign in Russia under Napoleon
(Names)
b) In 1821 some came to Italy as Kaiserjäger
(Names)
c) In 1848 fought under the famous F.M. Radetzki in Italy
