Memorial Stans

In the local cemetery near the church is a large memorial plaque with names and photos of those who remained during the 2 world wars. The plaque is located on the outside of the church next to the entrance.

The plaque bears the inscription;
"In memory of the fallen in both world wars in the municipality of Stans.
1914-1918 and 1939-1945"

Below this plaque is a smaller oval plaque of the returnees with inscription. This one reads;
"Reverently dedicated in memory of our fallen warriors.
The returnees from Stans"
