General Yamashita surrender site Kiangan
General Tomoyuki Yamashita surrendered on 2 September 1945 in this Home Economics building of the Kiangan Central School. His formal surrender was staged in Baguio City. Yamashita was tried for war crimes and hanged in Los Banos in 1946.
