Right next to the central monument to the fallen, near St. Paul's Church, from the municipality of Baelen, is a grave monument where 6 soldiers and resisters from the 2nd World War were given their final resting place.

LIEGEOIS Henri, age 41, born in Soumagne, soldier with the Intendance Corps, killed May 12, 1940.

RADERMECKER Pierre, age 29, from Baelen, guard of the 1st Lanciers regiment, arrested for espionage on February 27, 1942, executed June 15, 1943. (back left grave)

SCORNEC L., no details known.

WINTGENS Octave, age 21, born in Andrimont, executed near the Citadelle of Liège on April 24, 1944.
