Sunday, January 14, 1945, the Hawker Typhoon, RB204, ended up at this location after a successful emergency landing. Pilot Flying Officer Anatole Côté managed to stay out of the hands of the Germans with the help of local residents and the resistance and was finally liberated on March 30, 1945 in Zelhem.
