War Memorial Ammeloe

In Ammeloe, just outside the center and the main provincial road (Bundesstrasse), there is a monument to the killed and missing inhabitants of Ammeloe during the two world wars. The monument is indicated from the "Bundesstrasse" with a signpost made of wood carvings.

The monument in the form of a small chapel stands at a 3rd jump. Built of brick with a thatched roof. In the chapel an altar with image of Mary with Jesus with wreath of thorns in her lap. Wooden panels on the walls with the names of the missing and the dead. 1 panel has a rosary.

In front of the chapel is a stone with plaque. The inscription on this reads;
