On 24 and 25 September 1944, the Army Corps of Engineers builds a Bailey bridge (the Brussels Bridge). The equipment is supplied by the 8th British Corps. In the days to follow, thousands of vehicles from the 21st Squadron will use this bridge. The bridge in Bree is the only point of passage, this bridge will lead to the liberation of large parts of the Netherlands.
