Memorial Column Vreden

On the "Alter Friedhof" or the former cemetery of the town of Vreden, right next to the center of town, a number of different monuments from different periods are housed.

For example, you will find a column monument (Denkmalsäule) in memory of the fallen inhabitants during the 1st world war. The monumental column has been renovated in such a way that some names have been plastered over and not renewed. That is why some names are no longer clearly legible. The names on the monument are residents of Vreden, Grosse Mast, Kleine Mast, Köckelwick and Gaxel.
