Memorial Complex Südlohn

In the town of Südlohn on the former municipal cemetery (cemetery from 1807 to 1928), a memorial complex was established in 1964/1965.
There are several monuments to be found.

Four stone crosses mark graves with soldiers. Three soldiers from the second world war and one soldier from the first world war.

There is also a column from 1922, erected in memory of the inhabitants who died during the 1st world war, also in memory of the victims of the Franco-German war of 1870/71.

There is a kind of square of red bricks and gray tiles with several stone columns on top. On the stone square pillars the names of all those who died in the First and Second World War. The annual statement on the pillars is not always clear. The names on the pillars also document civilian casualties and victims of Nazi tyranny. The victims of the Jewish community are also listed here.
Inscriptions:
1st World War:
Her fallen heroes sons founded by the municipality of Südlohn in 1922
columns:
Fallen, missing, dead - all in God's hands

There is also a memorial stone and 5 trees, planted in a large circle in memory of the fact that the 2nd world war ended 70 years ago.
On the stone a small plaque with the inscription;
5 Swamp Oak, donated in memory of 70 years of peace.
General Boerenschutersvernening Südlohn EV. (Algemeine Bauernschutzenverein Südlohn EV) Planted 5 April 2014
