Memorial Stone Meester van Coothstraat 82

Here in Waalwijk is a memorial stone for:

EUGEN PINTO, murdered on ,February 28, 1943 Fürstengrube (Aussenkommando of Auschwitz).

This Memorial Stone is located here for a Jewish resident of Waalwijk. Via Westerbork he went by train to Auschwitz, but en route in Poland the men between the ages of 15 and 50 had to get off at an intermediate station for forced labour. Pinto had to work at the Wesola coal mine. There he succumbed under the Nacht und Nebel regime.
