In the border village of Glane, municipality of Losser, there is a monument in memory of the 3 victims who lost their lives because Allied planes dropped about 35 high-explosive bombs here on February 15, 1945. By mistake, they were intended for the nearby German town of Gronau. The high-explosive bombs hit a row of houses. In addition to the 3 fatalities, there were also 8 injured residents. Now nothing reminds of the houses that were situated opposite the current row of houses a little further on the right-hand side of the monument about 25 to 30 meters into the Grensweg as the crow flies.
