Memorial 10 Young Girls Dong Loc Junction

At about 2:00 p.m. on July 24, 1968, on the orders of Chief Nguyen The Linh, 10 girls went to work. A formation of fighter jets flying over from north to south. The girls stopped working to settle in the bunker at the foot of Elephant Inn Hill. Later, at 4:40 p.m., a plane turned and dropped a bomb over the 10-girl formation.

Ten girls were killed. The eldest was 24 years old (born 1944), the youngest, Vo Thi Ha was only 17 years old (born 1951). The 10 dong loc girls are Vo Thi Tan, Ho Thi Cuc, Nguyen Thi Small, Duong Thi Xuan, Ha Thi Xanh, Nguyen Thi Xuan, Vo Thi Hoi, Tran Thi Huong, Tran Thi Rang and Vo Thi Ha. Their names are carved into the stone.
