Stumbling Stones Boomstraat 28

'A HUMAN BEING IS FORGOTTEN ONLY WHEN HIS NAME IS FORGOTTEN'.
(Talmud)

Here in Dordrecht three Stumbling Stones are laid on October 5, 2021 for:

MOZES COHEN DE HEER, murdered on December 15, 1942 in Auschwitz.

ROSALIE COHEN DE HEER, murdered on November 19, 1942 in Auschwitz.

GRIETJE COHEN DE HEER, murdered on November 19, 1942 in Auschwitz.

These Stumbling Stones are here for jewish war victims, deported and murdered in the Second World War.

These stones were stolen between 5 and 8-5-2024, to the dismay of many Dordtenaren. What prompted this is not clear, but some tjd later they were recovered on a bench near the place where they were stolen.
