B8 Bergkristall was an underground factory for Messerschmitt, built by prisoners from Gusen II concentration camp started in the beginning of 1944. The 50.000 squaremetes production area is 8 kilometers long. Nearly 9.000 prisoners died in 13 months. It was one of the largest and most modern underground production complexes in the so-called Greater German Empire.
The complex has been open a few days each year, on which tours through the facility are offered.
