Commemorative Plate American Soldiers Gaurain-Ramecroix

The plaque on the facade of the school in Gaurain-Ramecroix was placed by the Tournai municipal authorities. It was unveiled on 9 September 2000. It bears the name of the three American soldiers of the 30th Reconnaissance Troop, 30th Infantry Division who were killed on this spot during the liberation on 2 September 1944 at 11.30 pm.
