Operation Husky Monument Nissoria

On the Via Licari/SP85 in Nissoria is a small monument which remembers to Operation Husky. Nissoria was the scene of fierce fights on the 24th of July 1943. Various Canadian units from the 1st Canadian Infantry Division have fought very hard here against the German opponent. Both sides suffered heavy casualties.

The monument isn't always accessible.
