Memorial First World War Ressegem

In the portal of the Sint-Mauritiuskerk in Ressegem hangs a memorial plaque for the fallen heroes of the First World War.

On the left is a very nice drawing:
under the Belgian tricolor "Eer en Vaderland" sits a woman with a book on her lap. She looks at a drawing of a landscape in which a cross on a grave can be recognized.
Underneath is the coat of arms of Belgium: "Unity makes strength".
At the bottom a soldier with weapon in hand in front of a seated lion.

Below the drawing it says:
"Gift from Mr. Jan Roelkens.
E. De Bruyne, Draftsman 1924"

On the right is the text part:
