Hill 170
The Battle of Hill 170 lasted from 22 to 31 January 1945. 1 Commando led the attack to secure the objective (a 700 yd (640 m) long, 300 yd (270 m) wide and 1,000 ft (300 m) high hill codenamed "Brighton"), supported by 5 Commando.
