German Wargraves Hilfarth

The former cemetery of Hilfarth contains 4 victims of the First World War and 30 victims of the Second World War. Most of the casualties of World War II are due to a damaged Lancaster bomber whose pilot, in an attempt to reduce the weight of his bomber, drops his bombs. This bomb load lands on the village of Hilfarth and kills 16 people.
