Memorial stones Maurice and Yetty Elzas

On 27 January 2022, these memorial stones for Maurice and Yetty Elzas were unveiled. Both survived the war as children and passed away in 2020. The stones are located near the site where the synagogue used to be, in the sidewalk opposite the Jewish memorial 'De Levenspoort'.

Maurice worked as a professor of ICT at the Agricultural College and was chairman of the Jewish Heritage Foundation. Yetty was a sculptor and designed the Jewish Memorial. Both have made a major contribution to the Jewish heritage in Wageningen.
