Dutch Military Coastal Defense Museum - Bunker Hamburg

The Fort aan de Hoek van Holland Foundation manages two FL246 ammunition bunkers, named Bremen and Hamburg.
These were part of the German coastal battery Vineta.

The bunkers are close together and were used by the Royal Navy during the Cold War. Hamburg was the Marine Command Post Maas (CMR). From here, all ship movements in the Nieuwe Waterweg were tracked. This was supported by Bremen as a central post for the Mine Lookout Service (MUD).

A lot of furnishings from the Cold War can still be found in bunker Hamburg, while bunker Bremen has been set up as a museum with a focus on the 2nd World War. Both bunkers together form the Dutch Military Coastal Defense Museum.
