This cenotaph is situated in a small garden on Green Road, beside houses and with open countryside behind. The stone monument is an oblong through a stone bench, capped with a gable and decorated with a carved wreath.
It commemorates those lost in the two world wars, saying:
NOT ONCE OR TWICE IN OUR ROUGH ISLAND-STORY. THE PATH OF DUTY WAS THE WAY TO GLORY.
IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS VILLAGE WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY 1914-1918.
This is followed by the 21 names of those who fell in the Great War.
Below these are the WW2 dates of 1939-1945, along with another 5 names of those lost in the latter conflict.
