Crash Site RCAF Bomber Wellington HZ481 QO-W 432 Sqn

On 4 July 1943 the RCAF Wellington HZ481 QO-W 432 Sqn crashed here, during a bombing mission to Cologne.
Five Canadians were killed in the crash:
Sgt Patrick K. Chambers RCAF,
F/S Roy F. Moore RCAF,
F/S Brock V. Owen RCAF,
Sgt Lee HA McCormick RCAF,
Sgt Bryon H. Garoutte RCAF

The crew is buried in the Heverlee War Cemetery.
