Memorial Stone St. John the Baptist Church Billerbeck

In the St. John the Baptist Church in Billerbeck, on the inside wall near the entrance, a figure of Saint Sebastian in front of a semicircular wreath of thorns. Below it is an inscription:

1914 1918
The righteous souls are in God
Hand. Though in the eyes of the dead
died they live in peace
in peace. Wisdom 31-3
