V-2 Impact Site Dune Area V.Voorschotenlaan

This V-2 rocket struck here on October 23, 1944. The explosion resulted in 14 slightly injured people. Three buildings (including no. 18 and 20) on Van Voorschotenlaan were destroyed and six heavily damaged, including the house of the "Festungskommandant". 112 houses in the area were slightly damaged and glass damage was also registered in hundreds of houses in the Benoordenhout and the adjacent part of the Archipelbuurt.
