Crash Location B-17E Flying Fortress 42-30603

On November 26, 1943, the B-17F bomber crashed in these meadows. It concerns the Las Vegas Avenger: 42-30603, 306th Bomb Group The Reich Wreckers of the 423rd Bomb Squadron.
After an attack on Bremen, the aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire. Above Friesland it was again attacked by German fighters.
