Monument Fallen Resistance Fighters Oyonnax

This monument on the D13 near Oyonnax towards Echallon commemorates fourteen resistance fighters of the Francs-Tireurs et Partisans (FTPF) who fell into the hands of the Nazis here in the forest and were tortured and killed in Dortan Park on 19 July 1944. Another plaque commemorates seven members of the Forces françaises de l'intérieur who were killed here by German bullets on 15 and 19 July 1944.
