397 soldiers are buried in the Ixelles cemetery.
The large Military Ereperk consists of parallel rows, separated by hedges of pruned yew. Particularly noteworthy are the four bronze sentries at the four corners of the perk, created by the sculptors Charles Samuel, Marcel Rau, Isidore De Rudder and Jules Herbays. It was solemnly inaugurated in 1923.
On the plot of honor are some Italian soldiers from the First World War.
This mainly concerns soldiers who were arrested by the Germans and who died as prisoners of war in the military hospital located in the Kroonlaan in Ixelles.
