War Memorial Hauenhorst

In Hauenhorst, municipality of Rheine, there is a large and beautifully maintained monument to the victims of both wars. The monument erected, originally for the victims of the 1st World War, was subsequently extended to include those who died during the 2nd World War.

The monument consists of a number of sandstone plaques on masonry walls with a relief depicting St George and the dragon in the center. in front of the monument a well-maintained lawn and low fence.
